My First Blog

Hurray ! I have finally placed my first blog online. I have been trying to start blogging for some time now but for some reason or the other I have been putting it off. (OK, there is only one reason - my inherent laziness !). I have purposely named it as "Fake". I hope to cash on some good luck and popularity just as the Fake IPL Player or Fake Steve Jobs.

I recently bought a new laptop - the SONY VAIO. I am really enjoying the look and feel of the same. The keyboard is awesome - not only visually but also very smooth when it comes to typing. Its a nice change from my previous laptop - which was nothing more than a heavyweight-heat pumping -battery sucking machine.

I am currently idle at home and trying out new stuff which I had been procrastinating for a while. The list includes blogging, learning how to drive a car, trying my hand at bridge- the cards game and of course getting myself familiar with the books again as I will joining a B-School soon :-).

I am in a transition phase of my life. I just quit my job after 3 years and will be heading back to school. Although I had been trying to get out of the job-life for a while now, when it has actually happened my enthusiasm has gone down. I guess change does not come naturally to me. A lot of pessimistic thoughts about the uncertainty that lies ahead at the end of my two-year-MBA,and the pain of giving up a fat-pay cheque and luxurious job were hitting me. These random thoughts were driving me crazy during the last few days at office. Now I am at home and the serene and secure environment here has provided me just the necessary cushion which seems to be making my transition smooth.

I have ten more days before I reach my new abode. I plan to make the most of it and post a blog everyday. Lets hope I can manage to do that. One of the biggest dilemmas which I face about blogging is the topic. Since this was my first blog I actually had no issues in deciding what the topic could be but now I will have to think hard.
